Late as usual. This was for Thanksgiving, this year’s apple thing. Made with apples, obviously, not pineapple. It would do better with tarter apples, to sparkle through the caramel, but it was pretty good in any case, and more than that with whipped cream.
It turns out that those red Ikea spatulas don’t stand up to the heat of melting sugar. But it was another use for my birthday butter-pot from Z.
