Tapioca

I made coconut tapioca pudding: tapioca pearls, soaked about an hour; simmer with coconut milk “beverage” (from Trader Joe’s), coconut essence, sugar, pinch of salt, unsweetened dried coconut. Stir stir stir for about half an hour. Britten’s The Turn of the Screw comes on the radio (well, I have got to move away from the odious Sinatra hour by that odious Jonathan Schwartz). Beautiful children can be the scariest things in literature, can’t they? Stir and stir, let cool.

I also did the laundry and took out the recycling. Such a Saturday!
